How to Use the NPTrackerBOT

Accessing the BOT

  • Locate the bot on Telegram by searching for @NPTrackerBOT in Contacts.
  • Tap to open and click START if prompted to initialize communication with the bot.

Performing Lookups

The bot supports multiple input methods to check a vehicle registration:

  • Text Lookup: Send the vehicle registration as plain text.
  • Image ANPR: Send a photo containing the registration; the bot will perform Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and run a check.
  • License Disk Barcode: Send an image of the vehicle license disk barcode; the bot will decode it and run the lookup.
  • Wildcard Search: Use a question mark (?) as a placeholder for unknown characters in the registration number.

Results Provided

The NPTrackerBOT cross-references the vehicle registration number against several databases:

  • NP Tracker National Suspect and Suspicious Vehicle Database
  • NPS-VCR Vehicle Database: Provides make, model, and color details.
  • NPS-LAW Sought Vehicle List: (Access requires vetting. Use /auth to submit verification, including a photo of the license disk or number plate.)
  • Linked NPS-CLOUD Private Hotlists

If the plate is flagged, the bot will generate a Vehicle Lookout Report. Additionally, if more than three independent users have inquired about the same plate, the system will notify you.
