To overcome this limitation we first detect motion in the captured feed from the Raspberry Pi camera, we use the open-source program called '''Motion''' to first detect an event then timestamp this event for processing first by our image masking tool then detecting if there are a plate in the image.<br>
Events are snapshots at higher frames per second to try and get the best possible picture, but this still does not guarantee a clear image if the vehicle is driving at a high speed to/from the NPS-ANPR installation.<br>
